About AFK
AFK stands for Acknowledgement for Fundamental Knowledge. It is the first exam for Canadian dental licensing.
Eligibility

Exam Date & Place
Exams, that are conducted twice a year at Prometric exam centres in Canada, that is to be booked 3 to 6 months ahead.
Exam Pattern
There will be 200 questions in 2 parts with an interval. Two hours for each session.
Study Materials
The Canadian Dental Board has issued a list of reference material which you can find here.
Pass Score & Results
70% is the minimum score required and the results will be announced within 10 weeks.

AFK Pathways
75% AFK
This score will help you pass the AFK exam and then be eligible for the ACJ exam to continue with the NDEB licensing process for Canada.
90% AFK
This is the required score if you are looking to get admission into one of the Canadian dental colleges to do the DDS course and thereafter get the license.
